Senior Groomer Michaela

Michaela, the owner of Urban Furdo Pet Styling, started full time the grooming industry in 2019 after completing tertiary study in the animal industry including subjects on pet nutrition, behaviour/training and legal compliance. Initially grooming in rural Victoria, Michaela moved to Metro Melbourne in 2020 to hone her skills and pursue further learning.

Michaela began offering one-on-one grooming appointments in 2021 and loved being able to build a more personalised relationship with both her four legged and two legged customers! Michaela noticed how much progress "difficult" dogs made when they could rely on the consistency and steadiness of having the same groomer each appointment and a shorter overall amount of time spent at the salon.

In 2022, Michaela partnered with Progressive Vet Care in Malvern East and in 2023 opened Urban Furdo's first brick and mortar store in Elsternwick! Since opening Elsternwick Michaela has been joined by a small team of her own who she loves to encourage to hone their skills and dip their toes in the competition ring! Michaela enjoys spending her spare time on adventures with her standard poodle and border collie, competing in sports such as conformation and dances with dogs and regularly sponsors local events such as The Poodle Club of Vic events and local charity fundraisers
